Mark Ginnebaugh

CEO / Microsoft Regional Director

Mark Ginnebaugh is a leader in the San Francisco and Silicon Valley tech communities. He received his BSME from the University of Michigan, and his MBA from Pepperdine. He organizes the Bay Area Azure Data & AI and Power Platform Meetups, where he brings together tech and business experts focused on Microsoft's Data, AI, and Cloud Services.
 
Before founding DesignMind in 2005, Mark designed communications satellites for 12 years. He is one of 190 Microsoft Regional Directors globally, recognized for his technical and business input to Microsoft and global enterprises. He was a Microsoft MVP in Data and Business Intelligence solutions for six consecutive years.
 
Mark is a NICA Level 2 Mountain Biking Coach, and is a ride leader for the Tam High Mountain Biking Team.

Rob Kerr

VP, Artificial Intelligence

Rob is a well-known leader in technology consulting, IT management, data science and software engineering circles. He has served in consulting roles with startup and Fortune 1000 companies in the Automotive, Medical Device, and Financial Services industries.  Previously he served as CTO of BlueGranite, and as a data center manager with ADP. He was a Microsoft MVP in Data and Business Intelligence solutions for four consecutive years. Rob is a graduate of Western Michigan University’s Haworth College of Business.

Angel Abundez

VP, Solutions Architecture

Angel Abundez leads our Solutions Architecture team, which helps our clients envision, plan, and implement cutting edge solutions for their business data, process automation, and analytics needs.  He has held progressive roles at DesignMind since 2011, helping transform DesignMind's BI and Data practices into one of the most respected in the U.S.  Angel has successfully led dozens of projects in financial services, sales and marketing, retail, food and beverage, manufacturing, semiconductor, and supply chain management.  Angel has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Mark Daugherty

VP, Business Development

With over 20 years of experience as a seasoned sales and operations executive, Mark works closely with DesignMind’s clients, technical team, and partners to help drive successful data-related initiatives. Prior to DesignMind, Mark served in several management roles for Robert Half Technology (RHT) in SF. While there, he was awarded Rookie of the Year in 2013, recognizing him as the company’s top first-year performer globally. In 2015, he also successfully launched RHT’s Professional Services practice in SF. Prior to RHT, Mark served in various C-level roles where he was responsible for, and successfully executed, rapid expansion efforts equaling millions of dollars and double-digit multiples of year over year growth.

Connie Yang

VP, Data Science and ML

Connie is an accomplished AI and Data Science leader with a strong background in data engineering. She has developed and deployed many machine learning and AI solutions. Previously she was Head of Operations at Passes, Lead Data Scientist at Pallet, and Data Scientist II on Microsoft’s Core Data Science team. Connie holds a B.S. in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University.

Jo Reyes

VP, Strategy and Delivery

Jo is an accomplished business strategist with over 20 years of expertise in leveraging data to drive growth, spark innovation, and deliver high-impact organizational results. Before joining DesignMind, Jo held senior leadership roles at UST, Bombora, and TTEC, where they led initiatives that turned complex data into actionable insights, guiding key business decisions and advancing strategic goals. An award-winning strategist, Jo is known for her ability to design and execute innovative strategies that align with business objectives. Jo holds an MBA with a focus in Information Technology from Roosevelt University.

Joseph D'Antoni

Principal Cloud Architect and Microsoft Data Platform MVP

Joseph D'Antoni is a Microsoft Data Platform MVP with over 20 years of experience working in both Fortune 500 and smaller firms. He is a frequent speaker at major tech events like Microsoft Ignite, PASS Summit, and Enterprise Data World. He blogs about technology of all kinds at joeydantoni.com and writes a monthly column for Redmond Magazine. He believes that no single platform is the answer to all technology problems.

Colin Nicholls

VP, Database and AppDev

Colin manages DesignMind's Database and Application Development teams. His areas of expertise include relational database modeling and analysis, user interface design, API development, technical documentation, and team management. His previous roles include Co-CTO of Poseidon Saltwater Systems, Team Resource Manager & Oracle Data Analyst at EC|WISE, and Visual Studio Team Member at Microsoft. Colin holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree (Electrical and Electronic) from University of Auckland, New Zealand

Amy Spracklen

VP, Business Intelligence

Amy manages large ongoing projects, and also manages a Business Intelligence team. She has expertise in Power BI migrations and deployments, Tableau, MicroStrategy, data storage and modeling, solutions architecture, and team management.  Her previous roles include Manager Go-To-Market Analytics at Teradata, Solutions Architect at Wells Fargo, Solutions Architect at Think Big Analytics, and BI Architect at Petco. Amy holds a BA in English from the University of Oregon.

Katie Mangione

VP, Operations

Katie Mangione leads Operations and manages critical internal company functions, including Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, Recruiting, Vendor Management, and Information Technology.  As a member of the Leadership Team, she advises the CEO, and assists in developing the company's strategic plans.  She also helps implement the systems necessary to efficiently run the business.  Katie brings over 20 years of management and administrative experience and ensures DesignMind's internal systems and processes support the ongoing evolution of the organization.

Chantal Togbey

Managing Principal, Business Intelligence

Chantal Togbey is a seasoned Power BI analyst and data engineer with over a decade of experience in transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. She specializes in leveraging the magic of Power BI with a deep understanding of data engineering principles to develop robust data models, interactive dashboards, and comprehensive reports.

James Mazzanti

Principal Solutions Architect

James establishes technical standards for the cutting-edge cloud solutions delivered by DesignMind's Business Intelligence Teams. He also works with client teams to evaluate their current architectures, seeking improvements in performance, efficiency, maintainability, and alignment with industry-leading Best Practices. Previously he held roles such as Chief Technology Officer and VP of Technology at well-known brands such as Kate Spade and Design Within Reach. James's technical capabilities span a wide range of Azure Data Platform services, including Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Logic Apps, Power BI, and Analysis Services.  He holds a BS in Marketing from Providence College.

Patty Schinzing

VP, Marketing

Patty is an executive marketing leader experienced in enterprise and B2B consulting.  She leads web site development, brand, and communications at DesignMind.  Patty has held corporate communications positions at Charles Schwab, Cisco, and Wells Fargo.  She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and earned an MBA from Tulane University.

Taryn Gammell-Smith

Managing Principal, Business Intelligence

Taryn is a Managing Principal of Business Intelligence.  She manages one of the Business Intelligence teams, and delivers consulting services for some of DesignMind’s largest clients.  Taryn specializes in Power BI data modeling, solution architecture, and intuitive data storytelling.  She has experience working with CPG Retail, Construction and Workplace Analytics.  She was a Project Lead for the Power BI Retail migration at Advantage Solutions and holds a BS in Neurology from UMass Amherst.

Aaron Chandler-Worth

Managing Principal, Business Intelligence

Aaron is a Managing Principal BI Consultant. He manages one of the Business Intelligence teams, and delivers consulting services for many of DesignMind's most challenging projects. Aaron has expertise in enterprise deployments of Power BI, as well as QlikView, and Tableau. He has deep experience in Retail, Financial Services / Hedge Fund Management, Manufacturing, and Medical. Previously, Aaron was Lead BI Analyst and Product Manager at FactSet Research Systems, Principal BI Architect at Design Within Reach, and a Senior Consultant at TriCore Solutions.
